For past few days, I have been pondering on what to write and I encountered what one would only call a blogger's block!!! Today I lost my marbles...what!! nah..sorry... block ... coz I just had an epiphany.
Today, I had the privilege to talk to my very good friend by the name Sindhu who finally picked up the phone to call me after a forgotten decade!! Wait a minute...it was I who forgot to call for almost an year...Gee...Sindhu.. am so sorry. In any case, she mentioned that she checked my blog to find some update but there was none and somehow that made me remember my other friend Rachita who always told me that I have to write romance novels. It might not come as a surprise to you that I am a big romantic at heart!!
Then suddenly it occured to me...hey why not write a short story! Well, my sister is doing it or I can atleast copy some of her articles and post it as mine :P. So if you want to stop checking my blog from now on, you have my blessings (which are nothing but disguised curses).
Now comes the very interesting part of today's post. What should I name my character? The first name that came to mind is "Priya" obviously coz its such a beautiful, lovely, awesome, excellent name and it is so divine to utter. Hold the phone...do you think i am saying all this coz its my name..??? How shallow of you....ofcourse you are right and yeah you are shallow :P
Why dont you suggest some names, some roles, some story lines and some stories as well...I can always pretend that its mine !!

Nevil Shute
My favorite author. Few months back, I was on a Nevil shute reading spree and I managed to read
1) So disdained
2) The chequer board
3) Town like Alice
The ones that I have read before are
4) On the beach
5) Trustee from toolroom
Each and every book of his paints a picture of a simple life comparable to R.K. Narayan's stories. The feeling that I feel during and after reading of a Nevil Shute book is 'content'. After I finished reading the book, I looked at the backyard from the hall window and for the first time I noticed the beauty of the surroundings. Absolute peace and simply divine!
If you have not read his book, do give it a try! Start with my favorite - Trustee from toolroom.
P.C: I have just read 5 books of his. Gifts are welcome!
